maintain the electrical equipment used in most radio or
television broadcasts. They also work with equipment used
in concerts, plays, music recording, TV shows and movies.

to have gone to a technical school, community college, or
have a college degree in electronics, computer networking,

Job Description
Audio/Video equipment technician
Audio/video equipment technicians are responsible for setting
up and operating the equipment like, microphones, speakers,
video screens, projectors, sound/video monitors, mixing
boards, and other sound and video equipment.
In some situations a technician might be responsible for
setting up lighting. They are responsible for doing sound
and video checks to make sure all equipment is configured
correctly.
Broadcast Technician
Broadcast technicians are responsible for setting up and
operating the equipment that controls audio/video signal
strength and clarity. They also control what is being broadcast,
by using equipment to switch to different audio or video
feeds.
Sound Engineer Technician
A sound engineer technician is responsible for producing
specific sounds, by using equipment to record and synchronize
audio inputs. They also are responsible for adding voiceovers
and sound effects to video and theater projects.
Radio Operators
Radio operators use equipment, to regulate the transmittal
and reception of a radio communication. They are also responsible
for repairing and testing the equipment they use.
